What does Beau do on a call?

According to Boulevard's help center (Boulevard, checked 18 October 2026), Beau:

• answers incoming calls and common questions, using your service menu, availability and location details
• sends a booking link with the right service selected when a caller wants a new appointment
• sends a client portal link so clients can manage existing appointments
• hands off to a person, or takes a message if no one is available or you prefer
• is self-serve: you turn it on in Boulevard, per location, and you need a Boulevard booking line

What can't Beau do yet?

Boulevard lists these limits (Boulevard):

• booking or selling memberships, packages and gift cards
• booking at a location other than the one being called
• outbound calls and two-way texting
• custom or consultative booking that matches a client to specific staff expertise
• changing Beau's tone, voice or name

What should you check in any AI receptionist?

• Does it book during the call, or send a link? A link asks the client to finish the booking later.
• Can it book a named stylist or provider? Regulars usually want their own.
• Does it handle packages, deposits and memberships?
• What happens when a caller wants a person? Look for a transfer or a message your team can act on.
