What does Meevo's AI Receptionist do?

According to Meevo's help docs and MeevoIQ page (checked 19 October 2026), the AI Receptionist:

• identifies existing clients and collects the details needed to create new client profiles (Meevo docs)
• searches availability and books, reschedules or cancels appointments
• shares your business and holiday hours and your cancellation policies
• explains your service menu, service descriptions and add-ons
• transfers callers to a member of your team when they ask or need it
• answers every call, overflow and after-hours calls, or after-hours calls only; on overflow, your team has about 20 seconds to pick up first
• logs each call with an outcome (such as Booked or Sent to a person), a summary, a transcript and a recording when available
• uses a name and voice you choose (MeevoIQ)

What are its limits?

Meevo's setup guide lists these (Meevo docs):

• One location at a time. It's set up at each location, not from Central Office.
• Online Booking settings. Your business needs access to Meevo's Online Booking feature, and the AI Receptionist only offers employees and services set as Bookable Online.
• Cancellations. It can't cancel within 24 hours of the appointment, and it cancels only when it can apply an active cancellation reason available for Online Booking. Those calls go to your team.
• Same-day bookings. It offers same-day times starting two hours from the current time.
• Phone setup. Meevo creates a dedicated Agent number, and you forward your business number to it through your phone provider. You also need a separate transfer number that rings your front desk.
