Which salon software does CallPad work with?

The answer depends on your platform, so here it is system by system (as of October 2026):

  • Shortcuts. CallPad books into your Shortcuts appointment book with a named stylist, and it powers the Shortcuts AI Receptionist. Find out more about the Shortcuts AI Receptionist.
  • Simple Salon. CallPad books in real time with a named stylist.
  • Phorest. CallPad books in real time with a named stylist. It works on any Phorest plan: you request an API key from Phorest, and CallPad connects. See CallPad for Phorest.
  • Square Appointments. CallPad books in real time with a named stylist.
  • Google Calendar. CallPad books in real time.
  • Timely. A CallPad integration with Timely is in the works. Join the waitlist to be first to know.
  • Kitomba. A CallPad integration with Kitomba is in the works. Join the waitlist to be first to know.
  • Fresha. Not a CallPad integration. Fresha has its own AI Concierge, which answers calls and books into your Fresha calendar (Fresha).

What does CallPad do on a salon call?

CallPad works from your salon's own settings: your services, service times and stylists. On a call, it:

  • Books, moves and cancels appointments in real time, with the stylist the client asks for. If that stylist is off, CallPad can offer someone else.
  • Books multi-service appointments. CallPad books multi-service appointments and handles processing time, such as a colour plus cut with the gap while the colour develops.
  • Books colour and extension consultations as their own appointment type, under your rules.
  • Reminds colour clients about patch tests. It does this for Adamson Jones, a UK salon (Adamson Jones case study).
  • Takes deposits. CallPad can take a deposit on the call, either by texting a payment link or using a card on file in your booking system.
  • Hands off when needed. CallPad can transfer the call to a team member or take a message. With a message, you get an email that says what the caller wanted, so you can ring back ready to help.

Calls come in, and follow-ups go out, by phone, SMS and email. WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger and TikTok are coming soon.

Every call, overflow or after hours?

You choose how much of the phone CallPad covers:

  1. Overflow. Your team gets the first chance to answer. If nobody picks up, the call goes to CallPad.
  2. After hours. CallPad answers when the salon is closed: early mornings, evenings and your days off.
  3. Every call. CallPad answers 24/7, and your team handles the messages it passes on.

You set this up with call forwarding on your mobile or salon line. See how call forwarding works.

How does CallPad handle client privacy?

CallPad complies with the Australian Privacy Act. Our security overview explains how we protect client data.

What results have salons seen?

We don't have Australian results to share yet. All four of our published case studies are UK salons:

  • Adamson Jones, Llandudno (UK). 752 calls answered in 10 months, and about 190 bookings, moves and cancellations, around 50 of them while nobody was in the building. Read the case study.
  • Lime Salon Group, three salons in Scotland (UK). 111 hours of phone time taken off the front desks, and about 670 new bookings worth an estimated £20,000+ (UK pounds). Read the case study.
  • Essence of Beauty, Leyton, East London (UK). 20 hours of calls handled in the first 16 weeks, and about 180 new bookings worth an estimated £7,000+ (UK pounds). Read the case study.
  • Wilkinson Smith, Colchester (UK). 23 hours of phone time handled in 10 months, and about 115 new bookings. Read the case study.

How long does setup take?
