• New bookings: checks your live availability, offers up to two time slots, asks returning clients if they want their previous service, tries to keep the same staff member on multi-staff accounts, and creates the appointment once the client picks a slot.
• Deposits: if your no-show protection is set to Collect deposits, it creates the appointment in a Pending Confirmation state and texts the client a deposit payment link.
• Reschedules: finds the existing booking, checks dates around the client's request and proposes new slots.
• Confirmations: marks an appointment as Confirmed when a client replies to a reminder with a clear confirmation such as "Yes", "Y", "OK" or "Confirm".
• Cancellations: asks first whether the client would like to reschedule, then follows your no-show protection and cancellation timeframe settings (Goldie Help Center).

Does Goldie's AI Receptionist answer phone calls?

Goldie's feature page calls AI Receptionist "your salon's virtual chat assistant" (Goldie), and its help center says it "reads incoming client text messages" (Goldie Help Center). To turn it on, your messages have to run through Goldie's automated text messaging system rather than your own device. Neither page describes Goldie's AI Receptionist picking up voice phone calls.

When a client asks in chat to speak with a person, Goldie's AI steps aside so you can reply manually. If you send a manual message in a conversation, the AI pauses for that client for 12 hours (Goldie Help Center).

Which Goldie plans include AI Receptionist?

Goldie's help center says full access is on the Pro Plus plan, which includes 50 AI replies in each monthly cycle, with optional extra reply packs that do not expire (Goldie Help Center; Goldie Pro Plus guide).
